Job Title: Project Management Senior Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Senior Manager to join our team at General Dynamics - Ordnance and Tactical Systems (CA). As a key member of our program management function, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing internal projects from initiation through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and complete all aspects of complex projects throughout the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
- Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations.
- Liaise between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors.
- Identify, utilize, or delegate appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
- Plan and lead project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks.
- Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management.
- Identify at-risk project tasks and develop mitigation plans.
- Allocate resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of relevant Education &/or Experience.
- Project Management Certification preferred.
- Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Fit/Gap Analysis. Needs Analysis. Project Management.
