**Job Summary**

**Materials Team Leader - (11956)**

This role is responsible for coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the shipping, receiving, and warehousing of production materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments, as well as maintaining records on outgoing shipments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
  • Determine space requirements and position of shipment in trucks.
  • Inspect loading operations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance records.
  • Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • Post weight and shipping charges.
  • Issue written and oral instructions.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Must be computer literate and able to operate warehouse equipment.

**Requirements:**

  • Two year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

**Certifications:**

  • Forklift certification required.
