Job Summary:

The InsideHigherEd team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our research and programmatic initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the timely execution of research and programmatic initiatives, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the organization, managing staff and budgets, and serving as a strategic partner to the director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex programs in a leadership role, with experience managing teams of six or more
  • Develop and implement research and programmatic initiatives that advance the mission and strategy of the organization
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to identify and address emerging issues and information needs
  • Stay current on best practices in organizational management and policies, and maintain awareness of the latest developments related to the organization's priorities
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity, and support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree, and at least 5 years of experience in investigative research with possible area expertise in communications, information disorder, behavioral sciences, equity and public health, digital humanities, or communications and public health interventions
  • Experience managing complex programs in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail/accuracy, and proven flexibility in adjusting to changing demands and deadlines
  • Strong knowledge and command of evolving media information trends, education and training best practices, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
