The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage all facets of rehabilitation services while maintaining a clinical caseload.
The Rehabilitation Services Manager will be dedicated to understanding and addressing the needs of clients and stakeholders, fostering an environment that upholds exceptional clinical and financial standards.
This position acts as an advocate, educator, liaison, and mentor to interdisciplinary team members, including community staff, home health professionals, hospice teams, physicians, nurses, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clinical caseload.
- Exhibit strong clinical expertise and comprehend the role of rehabilitation across various clinical disciplines within Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC).
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding therapy service delivery in Assisted Living, Independent Living, and CCRC settings.
- Apply knowledge of life span growth and development principles to assess resident needs and provide age-appropriate care.
- Demonstrate effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills to create a safe and goal-oriented work environment.
- Serve as the primary contact for community customer concerns, addressing issues with professionalism and competence.
- Facilitate communication between management, Home Health, Hospice, and community administration.
- Integrate clinical programs tailored to community-specific marketing needs.
- Participate in community-based committees to promote collaborative goals for clinical programs and marketing.
- Engage in Quality Improvement Programs.
- Attend patient care meetings to foster open communication while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide educational sessions to community members, healthcare providers, and families regarding therapy services.
- Participate in community events to promote therapy services.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of rehabilitation services, including vacation approvals.
- Assess staffing requirements and schedules to meet resident care demands.
- Foster positive employee relations through open communication and problem-solving meetings.
- Conduct performance evaluations for rehabilitation staff in collaboration with supervisory personnel.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation through regular audits.
- Monitor compliance with personnel standards, including credentials and improvement plans.
- Address and resolve staff, service, and resident-related issues as needed.
- Develop engaging programs for resident participation, such as fitness and specialized activities.
- Provide leadership and direct management to clinical therapy staff, promoting teamwork.
- Uphold the ethical standards of the organization and report non-compliance as necessary.
- Be prepared to work with residents facing significant physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges.
- Adapt to environments with potential risks and maintain safety protocols.
- Manage the emotional demands of working with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Work independently while seeking periodic guidance.
- Utilize computer systems effectively and maintain typing proficiency.
- Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians, students, and volunteers as required.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of therapy services and programs.
- Deliver treatment in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
- Exhibit sound judgment in evaluating and implementing resident therapy programs.
- Maintain punctuality and coordinate schedules to meet performance standards.
- Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to infection control standards.
- Report hazardous conditions and incidents promptly.
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and professional appearance.
- Contribute positively to the team by sharing knowledge and accepting feedback.
- Comply with all company policies, including HIPAA and resident rights.
- Adapt positively to changes in responsibilities and tasks.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors.
- Interact professionally with staff, residents, and families to meet their needs.
- Follow end-of-month procedures for accurate claim submissions.
- Prepare and submit reports in a timely manner.

- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Valid state professional licensure is required.
