Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a leading provider of behavioral health services, specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments, group therapy, and individual therapy sessions to clients, adhering to Northstar Behavioral Health Network's policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate care with internal and external entities, including healthcare providers, social services, and law enforcement agencies, to ensure seamless treatment and support for clients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and implement evidence-based treatments, including medication-assisted therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high level of client satisfaction, with an average of 4 or more positive feedback per month.
  • Meet or exceed outpatient group attendance rates of 90% or higher, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement changes as directed by auditors within a one-week timeframe.
  • Maintain a client retention rate of 50% or higher, demonstrating a commitment to long-term recovery and support.

Requirements:

  • Valid LADC/ADC-T licensure in the state of Minnesota.
  • At least one year of experience in addiction counseling or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Minnesota statutes related to providing services for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Pass a background check and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Procentive, is preferred.
  • Specialty training in DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, or other evidence-based treatments is preferred.
