Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility in Livingston, Texas. As a Culinary Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community by providing high-quality food services to our residents.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook meals in accordance with pre-planned menus and dietary requirements
* Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
* Supervise and train non-citizens assigned to assist in the kitchen
* Ensure compliance with food safety and handling procedures
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve operational efficiency and quality standards

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Food service training and experience preferred
* Ability to obtain a food handlers permit and complete required preservice training
* Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record
