About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
  • Assist in ensuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
  • Support the Dining Services Director and Dietary Aide as needed, and direct other employees with approval.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in food preparation is preferred, and current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
