About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at Office Depot. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth in our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • Provide proactive and personalized support to customers, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
    • Utilize our selling program to promote the sale of best-in-class solutions and additional products and services.
    • Stay up-to-date on planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, adhering to company guidelines.
    • Ensure accurate signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
    • Follow established sorting and stocking guidelines, completing freight processes efficiently.
    • Organize and set up the freight sorting area according to guidelines.
    • Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • Develop and maintain personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools, including advanced Print and Technology training.
    • Continuously educate yourself on Print and Technology products and services, up to and including designated certifications.
  • Compliance Adherence and Support:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices, supporting loss prevention efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required, retail sales experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and G-Mail.
  • Ability to use computers and technology for information and to access necessary information to complete the job.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through the POS register system.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation, utilize training tools, and process inventory.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers and other employees.
  • Enjoy interacting with people.
