Key Responsibilities- Deliver radiation treatments according to prescribed plans and protocols.
- Maintain accurate and complete treatment records, recognizing and reporting any deviations from prescribed treatment delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide explanations for treatment-related procedures and address patient concerns.
- Perform and document daily and weekly quality assurance activities, notifying clinical team members of findings outside the normal range of operations.
- Capture and verify patient treatment charges.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed by the NYSDOH as a Radiation Therapist.
- BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, using critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues. Personal protective equipment will be used as required to follow Standard Precautions.
