Project Leader Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Leader to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Project Leader, you will be responsible for developing project plans and leading small projects to completion. You will work closely with internal and external customers to communicate progress, issues, and barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans and lead small projects to completion
  • Communicate progress, issues, and barriers to internal and external customers
  • Conduct periodic status meetings and root cause analysis of processes and issues
  • Research, compile, and validate data used to forecast staffing needs and work flows
  • Assist in managing project scope and identify, document, and raise requests for changes from original specifications
  • Communicate plans, status, and issues within the team, group, or project
  • Partner with business operations to understand operational metrics and reporting
  • Manage and monitor department operational risks and support the development of risk mitigation plans
  • Provide oversight of operational plans and organize Department Town Hall content

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 3 years experience
  • Basic understanding of project management methodology, tools, and processes
  • Ability to create professional PowerPoint presentations and utilize advanced features of Excel

Preferred Skills:

  • Project management certification
  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
