Project Engineer Job Description

At Level 10 Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing construction projects, including document control, project schedule, and safety.
  • Identify and develop RFI's to communicate field issues with the design team and distribute responses to the field for implementation.
  • Develop and organize a submittal schedule for the project, reviewing project-specific submittals for compliance with contract documents.
  • Develop a project-specific procurement schedule for all materials and equipment associated with the assigned project.
  • Organize a project-specific drawing log to track changes to contract documents and distribute updates to all project documents.
  • Document field conditions through the use of camera or applicable technology platform.
  • Develop an understanding of field coordination by interfacing with subcontractors, field personnel, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
  • Develop and organize project closeout documents in accordance with project-specific requirements.
  • Analyze changes to contract documents, including Owner Change Order Requests (CORs) and Subcontractor Change Orders (SCOs).
  • Work with the Project Manager to perform a thorough and objective bid analysis using all applicable components.
  • Prepare subcontractor Schedule of Values and monthly owner billings with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Viewpoint or similar), and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • Apply a complete and proficient understanding of construction management, engineering, safety, scheduling, estimating, budgets, costing, and procurement.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, detail-oriented, problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Proven ability to fulfill project development to project closeout responsibilities.
Working Conditions:

Duties require physical abilities such as repetitive hand/finger motions, arm extensions, sitting, standing, and walking job sites that include uneven and changing site conditions. As well as climbing stairs and ladders, etc. The individual is required to occasionally move around the office and constantly operate a computer and other office machinery, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
