Fiscal Services Technician

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Research Administration team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our Center on Alcohol, Substance use and Addictions (CASAA) Integrative Management of chronic Pain and Opioid use disorder for Whole Recovery (IMPOWR) Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with fiscal, budgetary, and associated transactions, including index reconciliation and budget projections.
  • Become knowledgeable of UNM accounting principles, process labor redistributions, journal vouchers, purchase orders, and invoices utilizing the appropriate UNM applications.
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Operations Director and other team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience reconciling restricted indices on a monthly basis, and generating financial reports as needed.
  • Experience with preparing budget projections.
  • Proficient in Banner, ChromeRiver, LoboMart, Workflow, MyReports.
