Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate structural design activities for various concurrent projects while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Evaluate and approve structural engineering drawings for designated projects, including the creation of plans, schedules, and detailed specifications.
- Analyze structural systems predominantly utilizing cold-formed steel framing for diverse building types such as healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Review and validate structural calculations prior to submission.
- Supervise CAD and BIM Technicians in the production of shop drawings and BIM models.
- Lead engineering teams on larger projects, providing guidance and support.
- Facilitate training and mentorship for team members, promoting professional growth and technical skill enhancement.
- Assist in the review of plans submitted by team members.
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure project timelines and design budgets are met.
- Drive business development initiatives for cold-formed projects, identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.
- Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships.
- Conduct and lead the structural design for various building projects, including the preparation of design documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Perform construction administration tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of ten years of professional experience in the structural design of cold-formed steel structures, with supervisory experience being advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of cold-formed steel design and light steel framing principles.
- Strong familiarity with AISI standards applicable to cold-formed steel framing projects.
- Ability to devise innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Sound engineering judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Professional Engineer licensure is required; Illinois Structural Engineer licensure is preferred.
- Proficient in various structural analysis and design software, including CFS Designer and RISA.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
