Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician

Job Summary:

Hawaiian Humane Society is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our shelter, including assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily health and behavioral examinations of animals in our shelter
  • Administer vaccinations and other treatments as needed
  • Assist with pre- and post-surgery procedures and medical treatment
  • Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to ensure the highest level of care for animals in our shelter

Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
  • 2+ years of experience working as a veterinary assistant or technician in a clinical or animal shelter environment
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary surgical operations, monitoring, preparation, and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
