Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and Intensive Care Unit team at Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage incoming patients and manage client relationships throughout their visit
- Partner with veterinarians in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fine needle aspirates
- Utilize radiology imaging modalities for patient assessment
- Administer sedation and anesthesia, and monitor patients during recovery
- Provide outstanding client care to maintain long-term relationships
- 2 years' experience as a veterinary assistant/technician in a progressive general practice or 1 year in a specialty practice
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with a strong sense of personal accountability
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, laboratory, radiographic, and anesthetic equipment
