Job Title: Food Unit Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Unit Lead to join our team at Compass Group Poland Sp. z o.o.

Job Summary:

The Food Unit Lead is responsible for coordinating the activities of other food-service employees, ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive to detail and ensuring a positive dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items, adhering to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
  • Help plan menus and ensure timely and efficient meal service, supervising the serving of meals.
  • Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner, both in person and via email.
  • Train employees, assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite work flow.
  • Use proper systems for completing required daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll, and time-keeping.
  • Responsible for proper cash handling, adhering to the Food Accounting Manual.
  • Order food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
  • Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees, adhering to company standards and government regulations.
  • Develop a sanitation schedule and ensure food-service employees adhere to it for cleaning the kitchen and dining area and washing kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Issue written and oral instructions and help select and orient employees, overseeing staff training in areas of responsibility.
