Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Manager to join our team at Baltimore City Public Schools. As a key member of our nutrition services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our federal school meal programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of our cafeterias, including food preparation, serving, and sanitation.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and accounting for food and supplies.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our students.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to ensure seamless integration of nutrition services with educational programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines for school meal programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
