Family Skills Coach

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington is seeking a dedicated Family Skills Coach to join our team. This role plays a vital part in supporting families who are at risk of separation due to parental substance misuse.
About the RoleThis position requires you to work closely with families, providing guidance and support as they navigate the recovery process. You will be responsible for coaching families on policies and procedures, ensuring they practice safe habits and follow program rules.
You will also be involved in daily activities, such as monitoring the building for safety risks, assisting residents with problem-solving, and intervening in emotionally charged situations to deescalate conflict.
Your goal will be to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages families to thrive and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Coach families on policies and procedures to ensure they follow program rules and practice safe habits.
- Assist residents with problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Monitor the building for safety risks and intervene when necessary.
- Conduct urinalysis testing as requested by staff leadership.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of experience in social services, preferably working with individuals in recovery, child welfare, homelessness, or mental health.
- A valid Washington State driver's license.
- The ability to pass a background check applicable to the position.
