Position Overview:

The IT Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of essential Microsoft tools and IT management systems. This includes overseeing domains, public certificates, and various IT management applications.

The Specialist is tasked with ensuring that all collaboration and productivity tools are effectively utilized to enhance operational efficiency and drive revenue growth.

Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Specialist will prioritize customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery. Compliance with ISO 27001 and COBIT controls is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform products and policies at a tenant level.
  • Provide maintenance and advanced support for all Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform services to ensure their availability and performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for the aforementioned Microsoft toolsets.
  • Implement and uphold governance and security frameworks for Microsoft collaboration tools, including data labeling and DLP policies.
  • Proactively monitor and report on the availability and reliability of Microsoft collaboration services.
  • Generate periodic reports detailing the health, usage, performance, and lifecycle status of Microsoft tools.
  • Stay updated on Microsoft collaboration tools to leverage the latest features, including advancements in artificial intelligence.
  • Ensure security by applying Microsoft advisor recommendations and security updates.
  • Establish email hygiene policies, such as DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.
  • Manage all company IT domains and oversee internal and external DNS.
  • Handle public security certificates and their renewals.
  • Develop, maintain, and document technology standards, procedures, user guides, and SOPs related to Microsoft collaboration and domain services.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective functionality of deployed technologies.
  • Address security vulnerabilities identified in the toolsets and platforms.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the IT industry.
  • Plan and coordinate upgrades to maintain OEM support.
  • Participate in IT conferences to understand current and future trends in Microsoft collaboration services, with a focus on AI and automation.
  • Utilize scripting and orchestration tools to automate routine IT tasks, such as using Power Automate for low-code development.
  • Support Cloud Engineering provisioning and assistance when the primary infrastructure engineer is unavailable.
  • Educate and train end users on the various collaboration tools available to enhance productivity.
  • Assist with annual license renewals and periodic license reviews.
  • Ensure least privilege access to all managed toolsets.
  • Support internal and external audits, including ISO 27001 compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microsoft O365 Tenant Management, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Defender, Intune, and Power Platform.
  • Proficient in managing domains and public certificates, including migration and renewal processes.
  • Solid understanding of On-Prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages or automation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and lead technology teams.
  • Experience in vendor management, particularly with Microsoft.
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Microsoft certifications.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in designing and supporting Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure Services.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications in MS Defender, O365, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
  • Experience in public certificate and domain management.
  • Good understanding of ISO standards.
