Position Overview:

This position is dedicated to delivering expert guidance in DevOps, SaaS architecture, information security, application integration, and automation. The Solutions Architect will be accountable for crafting and executing technology strategies that align IT infrastructure with organizational goals. This role involves designing robust and scalable systems, implementing DevOps methodologies, safeguarding our information assets, leveraging SaaS offerings, automating processes, and integrating applications to foster innovation, efficiency, and competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to align technology solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Architect and develop comprehensive system and solution designs for business applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Assess and advocate for the adoption of emerging technologies and SaaS solutions to enhance operational processes and drive innovation.

DevOps Implementation:

  • Champion the implementation of DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation workflows to optimize the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, configure, and oversee CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Apply infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.

SaaS Solution Architecture:

  • Evaluate and design the integration of SaaS solutions within the existing technology framework to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Facilitate seamless SaaS adoption by addressing architectural, security, and compliance considerations.
  • Collaborate with SaaS providers to architect and implement effective solutions.

Source Code Management and Development Tools:

  • Select, configure, and manage source code repository tools (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub) and version control systems to promote efficient collaboration among development teams.
  • Establish branching and workflow strategies for version control, providing guidance on best practices.
  • Evaluate, select, and configure development tools and platforms that enhance application development, testing, and collaboration.

Information Security:

  • Support the implementation of robust information security practices to protect our data and technology assets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards by supporting security scanning processes, vulnerability assessments, access controls, and encryption.
  • Assist in security initiatives to safeguard sensitive information and maintain a resilient security posture.

Application Integration:

  • Design and implement strategies for application integration to facilitate seamless data flow between diverse systems and platforms.
  • Identify integration opportunities, assess impacts, and define scalable solutions to meet business needs.

Automation:

  • Automate workflows, processes, and tasks across the organization to enhance efficiency and minimize manual efforts.
  • Identify automation opportunities, design solutions, and implement automation tools and frameworks.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for system architectures, DevOps processes, information security, application integration, automation, and SaaS solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and training for team members.
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and best practices.

General Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical guidance and leadership in integration technology proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and project teams.
  • Stay informed about the latest integration technology trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the enterprise and driving adoption as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to clarify and guide the evolution of system solutions.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, IT teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate experience working with APIs from commercial software applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on automation solutions.

Qualifications:

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in designing applications at an architectural level.
  • Experience in developing and managing API integrations, including REST, SOAP Web APIs, and WSDL.
  • Familiarity with various authentication methods for APIs.
  • Understanding of security patterns and network routing.
  • Experience in software development (C#, .Net, MS SQL, HTML).
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture, and data architecture standards, patterns, frameworks, and practices.
  • Expertise in solution design and development, vendor management, and enterprise application support, along with strong business acumen and project management skills.
  • Specialist knowledge of programming languages, database management, master data, and business process automation.
  • Sound understanding of development practices and methodologies (i.e., DevOps and Agile).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of integration technology platforms (i.e., Azure and AWS).
  • Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Commitment to continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing necessary changes.
  • Ability to adapt to Agile and Waterfall application development methodologies.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

  • TOGAF Certification.
  • Cloud Certification.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Experience with CI/CD, managing quality control, and code promotion across environments.
