Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the work of the mechanical design team to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
- Collaborate with governing agencies to ensure code compliance and facilitate reviews.
- Manage workload to complete multiple projects on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct site visits with the Project Manager and other disciplines to ensure project progress.
- Review mechanical documents for conflicts with other disciplines and provide recommendations.
- Develop and edit mechanical specifications, select equipment, and mechanical systems and devices.
- Provide construction contract administration support by reviewing mechanical submittals, RFIs, change orders, and incorporating agreed-upon changes into project documents.
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators, or Mechanical CAD Technicians as needed.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical emphasis.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings.
- Industrial, data center, or municipal experience preferred.
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design and energy-efficient design.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
- Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE, or similar software, manufacturer selection software.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
