About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Amtrak. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Repair and replace electrical components, including motors, generators, and transformers, as needed.
  • Install new electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with FRA and Amtrak standards.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of our railway systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical repairs and testing, with a focus on advanced electrical/electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including AC and DC voltage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and multimeters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
