We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Amtrak. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Repair and replace electrical components, including motors, generators, and transformers, as needed.
- Install new electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with FRA and Amtrak standards.
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of our railway systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or apprenticeship program preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical repairs and testing, with a focus on advanced electrical/electronic systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including AC and DC voltage.
- Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and multimeters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
