Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance and coordinate electronic and live music events, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality production.
  • Manage stagehands and production labor, including audio engineers, lighting directors, video techs, and visual jockeys (VJs), to deliver exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with lighting and audio teams using industry-standard equipment, such as GrandMA2, Grand MA3, Vectorworks, Capture, Resolume, and Braceworks, to create immersive experiences.
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of venue equipment, including lighting systems, electrical systems, and sound equipment, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Oversee technical aspects of production, including sound, lighting, camera operations, projection, video/audio recording, rigging, DMX, and networking, to deliver high-quality results.
  • Forecast show expenses, manage budgets, and track production costs to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Foster a positive work environment by effectively managing and motivating production teams through long days and challenging situations.
  • Participate in pre-show meetings, office hours, and conference calls as required to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years of production management experience in the live music industry.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of safety standards, equipment maintenance, and upgrades for venue systems.
  • Experience with advancing shows and coordinating production needs.
  • Proficiency in technical aspects of concert production, including sound, lighting, electrical systems, video tech, rigging, and networking.
  • Budget management experience with the ability to forecast show-related expenses.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with CAD software, especially Vectorworks, is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle the demands of the entertainment industry.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including daytime, nighttime, and weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, work on scaffolding or catwalks, and endure long working hours when necessary.
