Role Summary:
The Material Coordinator II plays a crucial role in managing the flow of materials across various production departments. This position is essential for ensuring that all production teams have the necessary components to achieve their operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the movement of materials in and out of different factory sections, including logistics operations.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure accuracy and timely availability of parts.
- Identifies and resolves issues related to production schedules and material shortages.
- Oversees the execution of production plans and may supervise logistics personnel.
Core Duties:
- Procures and expedites materials to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manages the return of defective materials to their original sources.
- Implements strategies for maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Analyzes and addresses the root causes of material deficiencies.
- Utilizes the Master Schedule to coordinate daily production activities.
- Handles transactions related to incoming and outgoing materials.
- Conducts audits and plans for material replenishment.
- Resolves discrepancies in inventory and accelerates the procurement of parts.
- Works on critical shortage reports and manages engineering release outputs.
Daily Activities:
- Develops and modifies manufacturing routings.
- Creates laser operation programs.
- Reviews technical drawings and monitors production and forecasted inventory levels.
- Coordinates stock transfers between departments and communicates effectively regarding material movements.
- Updates documentation using Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Designs and troubleshoots simple parts and laser programs.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to interpret 2D drawings and prints.
- Familiarity with CREO and AutoCAD software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Mechanical understanding.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Comfortable with computer technology.
