The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of equipment within our manufacturing and production facility. This role requires a hands-on individual with a diverse skill set in electrical systems, automation, PLCs, welding, and general equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and automation issues on production equipment. Address and resolve breakdowns quickly to reduce production interruptions.
- Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including wiring, circuits, and control panels.
- Automation and PLCs: Maintain and troubleshoot automated systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to ensure efficient operation of machinery.
- Welding: Perform welding tasks for equipment repairs and modifications as needed.
- Operational Support: Assist with the setup and calibration of machinery and support production staff with equipment-related issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts. Complete work orders and provide detailed reports on equipment status.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with automation systems and PLC programming.
- Skilled in welding and fabrication.
- Strong general maintenance skills, including mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Education: Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical systems, PLCs, or welding are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
