Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Intake Coordinator to join our team. As the primary point of contact for new clients, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for those accessing our services. Your expertise and empathy will help match clients with the right mental health providers, address their concerns, and provide education on insurance, authorizations, and payment options.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to new clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a timely and empathetic manner
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand clients' requirements and preferences, matching them with suitable mental health providers
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and mental health providers to ensure a smooth transition and optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and any necessary follow-ups
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop personalized treatment plans, addressing clients' unique needs and circumstances
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health support and coordination

Requirements:
  • ">
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a mental health or social services setting
  • A strong understanding of mental health principles, practices, and terminology, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and mental health providers
  • A patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for clients
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes rotating shifts during operating hours of 8am-7:30pm, monthly rotating weekend shifts 8am-4pm, and 5 shifts per week.
