Position Overview
This role is classified as Hybrid and is tasked with overseeing the analysis of daily unbilled accounts while communicating necessary actions to the relevant departments to ensure precise coding and billing of claims.
The position supervises HIM unbilled data and manages the daily tracking and reporting of total unbilled accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to identify and rectify charge and coding denials or rejections.
- Work closely with financial auditors and the SSC Denials Team to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Facilitate timely communication with the centralized coding team and management regarding billing errors and coding denials.
- Engage with the HIM Director and other hospital departments to enhance the revenue cycle process, addressing charge-related issues associated with unbilled accounts and corporate/facility audits.
- Participate in documentation audits for compliance and quality reporting as required.
- Assist the HIM Operations team as necessary.
This position reports directly to the HIM Director.
