Contract Duration: 3 Months Assignment (Great potential to extend or convert)

Work Schedule: M-F 9:00am-5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and document employee relations or workplace issues within a case management framework. Initiate investigative processes, conduct comprehensive inquiries, and establish suitable resolutions. Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation, addressing every concern appropriately. Escalate issues as needed and engage with employees regarding accommodation requests.
  • Act as the primary liaison for management and staff, providing counsel on performance management, focusing on improvement strategies and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Partners and the Performance Management team to tackle performance-related challenges and facilitate educational workshops on employee relations.
  • Maintain effective communication with other HR functions to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Perform regular data analysis to identify and highlight significant trends in employee relations matters. Design and implement proactive initiatives and policies that enhance employee relations and promote a positive workplace atmosphere. Safeguard confidential records concerning all reported cases and investigations.
  • Interpret and apply knowledge of organizational policies, employment legislation, and regulations to offer guidance on employee relations inquiries. Stay informed on legal trends in employment and recommend improvements in processes or technology.
  • Evaluate existing employee relations policies for potential biases and formulate action plans. Uphold the highest standards of integrity when managing employee relations matters and foster an inclusive environment aligned with ethical principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, communications, employment law, industrial relations, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, behavioral or social sciences, or organizational psychology.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing policies.
  • Familiarity with higher education and employment law.
  • Knowledge of best practices for investigating and resolving employee or workplace issues, with an emphasis on minimizing bias.
  • Capability to train personnel on policies, practices, and industry standards.
