Job SummaryThe Substance Use Disorder Counselor will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and services to individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment. The successful candidate will conduct assessments, identify needs and goals, and provide direct services to consumers, including individual counseling, group counseling, and family education/therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of referred clients and document findings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide direct services, including individual and group counseling, group education, and family education/therapy.
- Manage a caseload of consumers consistent with state standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided.
- Certified or registered as a substance use professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.
- OR
- Is an LPC, PLPC, LMSW, LCSW, physician, psychologist, or nurse practitioner licensed in the state of Missouri.
- Has at least one year of full-time equivalent experience in the treatment or rehabilitation of substance use disorder.
