Overview

Children's Mercy Kansas City is seeking a board-eligible/certified child movement disorders neurologist to join a growing team of 21 faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to children with movement disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions such as dystonia, Parkinson's disease, and cerebral palsy.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in research and education initiatives, including clinical trials, research studies, and educational programs for residents and fellows.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, physical therapy, and other interventions, to improve patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in movement disorders and pediatric neurology, and incorporate this knowledge into clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Board-eligible/certified child neurologist with expertise in movement disorders.
  • Strong clinical and research skills, with a proven track record of publication and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
