About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team at Little Leaves Behavioral Services. As a Behavior Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to preschool-aged children diagnosed with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to clients with autism spectrum disorder
  • Engage in regular team meetings and paid trainings to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Implement feedback from supervisors to ensure the highest level of care for our clients
  • Be energetic, creative, and imaginative in your approach to therapy
  • Shadow clients one-on-one to facilitate learning and playing in groups
  • Communicate regularly with the child's treatment team to ensure seamless care
  • Collect data throughout each session in a timely and efficient manner
  • Create program materials for individual clients as needed
  • Be a positive member of the center community and contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Be punctual and responsible in your attendance and work habits
Requirements
  • Commitment to helping children and families
  • Reliability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field
  • Experience working with children with special needs, such as autism or developmental delays
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or willingness to earn one within 90 days of hire, including a willingness to sit for the RBT exam
  • Ability to interact professionally with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a therapy team member
  • Ability to work well independently and seek assistance when needed
  • Strong attention to detail for data collection
  • Organized, flexible, and able to follow instructive guidance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain client confidentiality
  • Record of success in previous positions, as evidenced by excellent references
  • Comfortable using technology
Physical and Health Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull children up to 40 pounds, and complete the physical demands of the job
  • Daily health screenings for all staff and clients
  • Frequent hand-washing and sanitization
  • A 'pod system' for clients and staff to minimize potential exposure risk
  • Optional mask wearing for all adults and clients
  • Limited building access
