About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Hormel Foods Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Management: Make departmental decisions regarding maintenance, including developing and implementing maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Equipment Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of our equipment and manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.
  • Team Leadership: Train and supervise a team of skilled maintenance technicians, including electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople.
  • Facilities Coordination: Oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities, including ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical and engineering advice to support facilities performance improvement, including selecting vendors for equipment purchases and negotiating contract work.
  • CMMS Utilization: Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance activities, including scheduling and tracking work orders.
  • CAD Design: Use CAD software to gather information and design custom alterations to equipment, including selecting vendors for equipment purchases.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot mechanical processes and equipment, including identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Energy Management: Monitor and control energy use, including developing and implementing energy-saving initiatives.
  • Administrative Support: Verify and complete administrative work, including tracking and reporting maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 or more years of maintenance supervisory experience, including experience with CMMS and CAD software.
  • Skills: Innovative, technical, and mechanical knowledge, excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Citizenship: Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
