About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in the operating room, preparing and maintaining the environment, and assisting with the perioperative care of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Assist with the perioperative care of patients, including preparing patients for surgery and providing post-operative care.
  • Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sterile techniques and protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist certification is required within one year from the date of graduation from a surgical technologist program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 4 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Committee and leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
