Asset Management Director

The Director of Asset Management will lead the development and implementation of the asset management strategy across the organization, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of Denver Water. This role will provide coordination and leadership to ensure asset management improvement initiatives are implemented consistently across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Refine Asset Management Strategy: Evaluate current status, identify gaps, and execute improvements to fully implement strategy, ensuring alignment with the Organizational Strategic Plan and other planning documents.
- Lead Asset Management Planning Activities: Convert conceptual asset management planning techniques and principles into development and program implementation, leading, facilitating, and coordinating asset management support and planning activities across the organization.
- Prepare and Deliver Reports: Prepare and deliver Board-level reports regarding the performance of assets and track the effectiveness of asset management strategies in improving cost and service level performance.
- Support Business Units: Support other business units to ensure prioritization and allocation of resources in the capital and operating budgets are in alignment with organizational strategic plan and asset management objectives.
- Manage Long-Range Technology Direction: Manage, facilitate, and build consensus on long-range technology direction and organization-wide operational asset management strategy, developing cost-benefit information for various projects and providing guidance on specific asset management systems.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Planning, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience and 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: None required.
