About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm System Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, and CCTV Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and program integrated security and fire alarm systems
  • Respond to customer service calls and troubleshoot issues
  • Participate in after-hours service program and work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Communicate with central dispatch and receive updates on outstanding customer issues
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational manuals
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specifications
  • Complete necessary certification courses and submit task-related documentation
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals
  • Ability to install conduit wire and fire alarm devices
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Capable of performing physical labor and working in unusual positions
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel overnight
  • Demonstrates a prominent level of customer service and ability to lead and work well with team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year associate degree in Electronics, Network, Computer Science, or related field
  • NICET level II or ability to obtain in first year
