About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our fire protection team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' fire suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with low-voltage equipment and associated devices.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems with other building systems.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to clients on fire suppression system operation, maintenance, and repair.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • NICET Level 2 in Sprinkler certification or NC State Sprinkler Inspector License.
  • 3-5 years of documented experience in sprinkler systems preferred.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
  • Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Repair experience.
  • Backflow certification.
