Senior Vendor Relationship Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Vendor Manager will maintain and strengthen partnerships for a specified portfolio of various critical market data third-party providers used throughout Fidelity Investments. This role requires strong relationship, communication, and organizational skills to negotiate market data contracts, serve as a vendor relationship manager, and protect Fidelity by ensuring adherence to vendor-related risk policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Business Unit Subject Matter Experts and Vendor Administration team to align ongoing vendor initiatives and complex vendor renewals.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with vendors during contract negotiations and complex renewals.
  • Review and edit contract documents to ensure compliance with Fidelity's risk policies.
  • Work with vendors to complete required compliance tasks to safeguard Fidelity and mitigate risk.
  • Facilitate relationship and performance meetings with vendors to monitor and address vendor performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Paralegal Degree a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience reviewing contracts and negotiating terms and conditions with vendors.
  • Several years of general procurement experience in a Financial or Market Data category preferred.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior leadership and building strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, set timelines, and meet achievements.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and leading complex discussions with vendors.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
