Job Summary

Procom is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to partner with our client's Business and Technology Leaders. The role involves prioritizing and executing technology work for strategic business-sponsored initiatives, enhancements, and standard technology operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering multiple strategic initiatives, including business, operational, and information technology deliverables.
  • Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
  • Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners.
  • Manages all aspects of the project life cycle and oversees all phases of a project.
  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Validates financial forecasts and cost assumptions and provides ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
  • Works with resource managers to ensure that resource capacity planning is accurately forecasted.
  • Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
  • Handles risks and issues management for the project-level risks and interdependencies.
  • Partners with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to track Agile development milestones and support Agile practices as needed.
  • Manages team relationships to ensure effective delivery.
  • Facilitates problem-solving and resolves stakeholder conflict.
  • Teaches, coaches, and mentors team members to remove roadblocks and drive project execution.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex, and cross-functional projects with emphasis on systems and technical environments.
  • 8+ years of experience with project management tools and artifacts, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project budgets, change requests, status reports, etc.
  • Experience managing a concurrent portfolio of work greater than $3M.
  • Experience preparing/presenting information for and engaging with officer-level audiences.
  • Proven experience to execute with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace.
  • Proven experience with various software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum.
  • Proven ability to build relationships quickly and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, being seen as a strategic partner.
  • Deep experience working with product development and technology partners.
  • Proven track record of applying an elevated level of detail to project management and communications.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Scaled agile methodology experience, strongly preferred.
  • Contact center technology experience (phone/IVR, chat, SMS).
  • Background/experience in financial services industry.
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification.
