About the Role:

Your Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement

  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to customers, fostering loyalty and encouraging repeat visits.
  • Address customer inquiries efficiently, aiming to resolve issues at the first point of contact.
  • Represent the Grandin Road brand positively to all customers.
  • Enhance sales through effective merchandising and product knowledge.

Cash Handling

  • Process transactions and refunds accurately using the store's point-of-sale system.
  • Ensure the cash drawer is balanced before store opening and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Complete necessary documentation for refunds and voids.
  • Direct customer returns to the appropriate channels.
  • Notify staff and management of any security concerns.

Inventory Management

  • Receive and verify deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
  • Check, price, and prepare products for sale, documenting any discrepancies.

Visual Merchandising

  • Ensure all products are clearly labeled with accurate information.
  • Timely transfer of stock from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring proper display.
  • Maintain the relevance of information on point-of-sale materials.
  • Report and document any damaged goods that are not suitable for sale.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and store appearance to create a welcoming environment for customers.
