POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Analyst is essential in overseeing inventory management, ensuring precise data handling, and facilitating our manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role primarily involves the collection, organization, and analysis of data to ascertain the material requirements for our production facility and safety stock levels. Additionally, the position encompasses monitoring order placements and tracking deliveries from our primary supplier.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect data from diverse internal and external sources, including projected demand, actual sales trends, manufacturing efficiency, available inventory, in-transit materials, and anticipated deliveries from third-party vendors.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity by identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Organize data flows to provide a clear and precise overview of material requirements.
  • Utilize analytical tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and other software to assess optimal safety stock levels and material needs.
  • Leverage data insights to aid in inventory management and production planning decisions.
  • Track order placements and oversee in-transit deliveries from our main supplier.
  • Engage with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any arising issues.
  • Create detailed reports and visualizations to present data findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain dashboards using Excel, Google Sheets, or other advanced tools to monitor key metrics and trends.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in data analysis tools, including Excel, Google Sheets, and advanced platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills in both languages.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Engineering) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems practically.
  • Proven capability to collaborate effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position primarily operates indoors in a well-lit, climate-controlled office environment, with daily requirements to be present on the production floor. The role involves frequent interaction with departmental personnel and vendors, and may require physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and reaching for supplies.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to meet operational demands, which may include extended hours or occasional weekend work.
