Job Summary

The RN Nurse Manager Childrens Services is a critical leadership role at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Childrens Services department. This position requires a seasoned nurse leader with a strong background in pediatric care and experience in managing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other stakeholders to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of children and families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric care and nursing best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum 3 years acute care Nursing experience in PICU, Pediatrics, or Childrens Services
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Charge, Coordinator, Supervisor, or Managerial and above
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
