Work Schedule:
24 hours/week
Every third weekend is required.
Role Summary:
Our Level IIB Special Care Nursery accommodates up to 10 infants, providing specialized care for critically ill full-term and premature newborns with diverse medical needs. We also offer ongoing support for stable pre-term and chronically ill infants prior to their transition home. Each infant in our care requires meticulous cardio-respiratory monitoring and continuous evaluations throughout their stay. Family education is integral to our interdisciplinary approach in the nursery, which operates 24/7.
The selected Registered Nurse will deliver comprehensive, collaborative, and evidence-based care to infants needing stabilization, ongoing assessment, or extended care. This role emphasizes creating a compassionate and secure environment for patients and their families while continuously enhancing performance and satisfaction levels. Additionally, this position includes cross-training to support the Mother Infant Unit.
Qualifications:
- BSN preferred; BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience in telemetry monitoring is essential
- Minimum of 2 years of SCN experience required; 5 years preferred, level 3
- MCH experience is advantageous
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
