We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lowell General Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate patients on invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and maintain proper function of ventilators in conjunction with physician orders.
- Administer inhaled medications, oxygen, and other respiratory therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide services to analyze blood specimens for blood gases, glucose, and electrolytes in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Licensed by the state of Massachusetts to provide respiratory care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
- One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
