Job Summary

Element Care is seeking a Personal Care Specialist to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide personal care and safety services to our participants at our Adult Day Health (ADH) site and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meals, including 1:1 feedings, and ensure diet and fluid restrictions are followed.
  • Assist with specimen collections, oxygen and vital sign monitoring, and report any medical complaints or changes to the primary nurse.
  • Escort participants to medical and other appointments as needed.
  • Perform daily tasks, restock supplies, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • HHA certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with the geriatric population.
  • Ability to relate well to elders and anticipate their needs.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
