Job Title: Blast and Paint Supervisor

Transco Railway Products, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blast and Paint Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper and consistent meeting of blast and paint requirements, including quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate hourly employees in all blast and paint activities, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA, AAR, and FRA.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the Material Manager to maintain proper inventory control and minimize waste.
  • Participate in employee interviews, new hire orientation, and performance evaluations.
  • Document and submit corrective discipline as needed.
  • Provide daily production updates and maintain job cards for subordinates.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal Railroad Administration regulations and Association of American Railroads Interchange Rules.
  • Ability to read prints and drawings, including weld and nondestructive testing symbols.
  • 5+ years of rail car inspections, test, and repair experience; past supervisory/management experience preferred.
