Paint Line Exit End Operator

We are seeking a skilled Paint Line Exit End Operator to join our team at BlueScope Coated Products. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the exit section of the paint line, including speed, steering, and tension adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust line tension and drive systems to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect the strip surface through the entire exit section of the paint line to identify defective product.
- Safely cut and discharge finished coils from the exit section of the paint line.
- Quarantine defective product, obtain representative samples, and notify Quality Control of non-conforming conditions.
- Understand and comply with Quality and Environment Management Systems.
- Communicate daily with internal personnel to resolve problems and achieve company goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, and apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions.
Work Environment:
- Work in a fast-paced production environment with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Adverse working conditions may occur.
