The Blast Room Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the abrasive blasting equipment, ensuring the quality and efficiency of the blasting process. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain abrasive blasting equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Load and unload parts onto blast carts, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Cycle blast carts in and out of the blast room, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate an abrasive blast hose to blast extrusions, parts, and other items as needed, following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain the blast room and surrounding areas, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform equipment pre-inspection on a daily basis, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Operate overhead bridge cranes and jib cranes, as well as forklifts and side loaders, as needed.
- Comply with all EHS rules and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for self and others.
- Perform other assigned duties as directed by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- U.S. person status required, as this position entails access to export-controlled items.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and commit to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
