About the Role

This position plays a critical role in overseeing Behavioral Health services across facilities within The GEO Group, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the review and development of policies aligned with client requirements and industry standards, providing training to staff, and ensuring compliance with all policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational advice to medical areas at the corporate and facility levels, including pharmacy services, psychology, psychiatry, and medical.
  • Participate in developing and managing the medical operations strategic plan and annual operating plan.
  • Promote facility operational policies consistent with the organization's mission and values.
  • Partner with Corporate Contract Compliance to develop operational monitoring tools for medical and clinical operations.
  • Serve as a consultant to multidisciplinary teams within facilities, providing mental health training and guidance.
  • Assist with overseeing the development and modification of behavioral health programs for all facilities.
  • Assist with developing and monitoring suicide prevention programs within all facilities.
  • Provide guidance in the development and execution of facility plans of correction related to psychology and programming compliance.
Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology from an accredited university and current license as a Psychologist.
  • Five (5) years of progressive administrative experience in mental health care and/or correctional administration.
  • Ability to obtain licensing in the states where services are provided.
  • Highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal health regulatory laws, objectives, and policies.
  • Ability to provide Tele-Mental Health services or on-site clinical services if required.
  • Working knowledge of correctional mental health standards, including regulatory agency requirements.
