Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Social Worker to join our team at Yale-New Haven Health. As a licensed clinical social worker, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical services to patients, families, and healthcare teams in various inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic assessments, counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct mental health consultations and provide education to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work from an accredited institution.
  • 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision (Connecticut LCSW licensure requirements).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State of Connecticut or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Rhode Island.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with patients with mental health and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and provide education to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
