Job Title: Clinical Social Worker

Yale-New Haven Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team. As a licensed professional, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients, families, and social work consultation to interdisciplinary teams in various inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic assessment and treatment of patients and families
  • Counseling, psychotherapy, and brief treatment
  • Mental health consultation and teaching/mentoring
  • Collaboration with healthcare teams and project/task force participation
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of social work
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State of Connecticut or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Rhode Island
  • 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision (for Connecticut) or 24 months of experience licensed as a licensed clinical social worker under appropriate supervision (for Rhode Island)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Empathy, active listening, critical thinking, and strong organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and advocate for patients and families
